Coastal engineering, marine works and project delivery

Salzmen is a design, engineering and project management company specialising in coastal and marine works across the Maldives and UAE. Since 2011, we have delivered coastal protection, land reclamation, dredging and marine infrastructure for government bodies, resort operators and main contractors.

Who we are

Salzmen Pvt Ltd was founded in the Maldives on 24 November 2011 and is registered under C-0741/2011. Operating across the Maldives and UAE, our work centres on coastal protection, reclamation and marine infrastructure, supported by our own survey capability, plant and equipment.

How we work

We combine engineering design and delivery within one company. Surveys, measured site data and modelling inform our decisions before construction begins, while our own plant, marine equipment and survey capability support execution on site. This continuity carries engineering intent from assessment through to delivery.

Equipment and resources

We own and operate the plant our projects depend on, which keeps programme and quality under our control rather than a subcontractor’s.

Earthmoving and marine plant

Excavators including CAT 330C, 330B, 336D, 320D and Komatsu PC300 high bed and PC200; bulldozers CAT D6 and Komatsu D65; loaders CAT 950 and Komatsu WA320; dump trucks including CAT 740.

Concrete and lifting

Maxmech 18 cbm concrete batching plant, self-loading concrete mixers, boom and line concrete pumps, mobile cranes from 25 to 50 tonnes and tower cranes.

Survey instruments

Trimble GPS systems, Leica total stations and DJI Phantom 4 RTK drones for topographic and photogrammetric survey.

Marine survey and drilling

Multibeam sonar and single-beam echo sounders for bathymetry, with rotary and percussion drilling rigs for geotechnical investigation.

Our commitments

Safety

Safety governs how we plan and run every site. We maintain site protocols, training and supervision aimed at preventing incidents, with a clear standard: no task is important enough to be done unsafely.

Sustainability

We work in reef and lagoon environments where every intervention matters. We plan works to minimise disturbance to the seabed and surrounding habitat while considering long-term shoreline behaviour alongside immediate construction impact.

Quality

Quality means engineering that performs as intended throughout its design life. We apply consistent standards through design, procurement and construction, with attention to buildability, durability and the conditions of each site.
