Our commitments
Sustainability
We work inside living reef and lagoon systems, where construction impact and long-term shoreline behaviour cannot be treated separately. Sustainability at Salzmen means designing and building in a way that limits disturbance now and holds up over the design life.
Design that works with the coast
Where conditions allow we favour softer solutions, using beach nourishment, living shorelines and submerged structures in place of hard defences that transfer erosion elsewhere.
Limiting construction impact
Method and sequencing are planned to reduce seabed disturbance and turbidity, and we select materials and placement techniques with that in mind.
Climate resilience
We assess designs against rising sea levels and extreme weather so that reclamation and coastal defence remain viable over their intended life.
Habitat and community
Our projects sit alongside marine habitat and the communities that depend on it. We build conservation measures into schemes and support transparent consultation.
